Moon Poop Catipillar

That is what it looks like when you take a photo of a lunar eclipse without a tripod, with a 30 sec shutter, when it is below zero outside. Just thought I would share. :) LOL

Fairytale Land

The snowiest winter in recorded history. It is so bitter cold, life is slow, tedious, cautious. But what a beautiful thing it is. Our little city has been transformed into a beautiful fairytale land. The thing that is the hardest is I can only be outside for a few minutes to take photos before everything freezes up and my batteries drain.

Ski Saturday

Phew, it's been a while. Just crazy, crazy life taking up so much time. We managed a fun day this weekend...it is a banner year for skiing! We had one of those wonderful proud parent moments watching the kids skiing this weekend. They were both so determined to make it up the tow rope over and over without any help. Can't wait to go again!

Made the video with a little freebee program at muvee.com

GOD BLESS EDUCATION!!!

These two unruly, obnoxious, wild, uncontrollable, ornery, bored, combative, loud children are going back to school tomorrow!!! Haaaaaaalleeeeeeelujaaaaah!!!! Wishing their teachers the very best of luck! ;)

Hope you all had a very happy New Year! DH and I had a super fun night out. We ate amazing food, danced to the sounds of Latin Jazz and had some pretty cool adult (sort of) conversation! That is until the champagne started flowing...then, well, we were pretty much right back in high school.

Pink Christmas Sunset

And it was spectacular....I was stunned to see how pink the snow looks in the pictures. Such a beautiful day and we ended it with a few runs down the sledding hill. Gotta love snow for Christmas! Hope you had a great one!

Dinosaur Pancake

In case you didn't know...that's a dinosaur. Sean gave me a little quiet time and took the kids to breakfast a couple weeks ago. They come home and Gavin comes running up the stairs to show me his dinosaur pancake...sticky syrup fingers and all, then he eats it. Now how cute is that? :)

Checking it Twice

Soooo even though DH and I agreed to get each other a new bed this Christmas....he asked me where my list was...just so we could get each other something small to go along with it. So sweet he is...gotta love him! So here is my list. Feel free to use it...anyone! :) Hehe.

First of all...multiple gift cards from my favorite scrappin' place TallyScrapper would be much appreciated. (This might be a smart one for DH to get me since I will be spending $ there anyway!)

I would love, love, love pretty much anything from this store, we just got one in town and I have been in heaven just wandering around there...so creatively inspiring: Anthropologie
In fact....this King size and this and this are at the top of my list right now.

I would probably faint if I found one of these under the tree. I would for sure be satisfied with just one of these....and ultimately thrilled with one of these.

Oh and this is soooo cool...with this to go with it and an extra set of these. Things to soothe the chronic organizer in me!

I would love to go here again...especially with my scrappin' buds.

Last but not least...by far. I would love to wake up on Christmas day and have my attic look like this or this or hell, might as well go for this! :) Yeah.

Xmas cards

I made these for my sister this year. It is a 5x7 Press Printed folded card...the big part is the inside spread...and I just love the little munchkins tushies running on the beach on the back of the card! All the digi elements are from 2 Peas. Whatcha think? :)

November Bonfire

We must be totally nuts. The monster boy has been having trouble behaving at school....really, who has trouble in 4K??? Geesh! So his teacher suggested a reward sheet...he is good all week, gets a sticker each day he can choose a fun activity to do. Soooooo, first time what does he pick? A bonfire with marshmellows. It is in the 20's at night! But we were so happy that the reward thing worked we had to do it. He was thrilled...and my biggest, warmest coat still smells like bonfire smoke! Yuk.

Wickedly Cool!

Another weekend in the big city with my Mom and sister! Mom's best friend's (my Godmother) daughter got married in Chitown so we made a whole weekend of it. Finally got to see Wicked! Yay! It was really, really cool. One of those rare times when I love the show much more than the book. The girl who played Glinda was absolutely fabulous! Kept us laughing the whole night. Defy Gravity!!

We cruised Michigan Ave. in search of shoes. Well let me tell you, there was not a single pair of size 9 anything...well, except for the $400 pairs...geesh! I guess that was a good thing. We all had a mini makeover at the Bobbi Brown counter in Neiman's....ouch! But we all learned a few things about looking younger, much needed as we get older and older.

I just love that city. Can't wait to go back, especially now that I really feel like I've got the lay of the land down. Do I hear a little trip to the American Girl Place with our daughters??? That would be so much fun!

Jelly Bean

Hee hee, I finally got to see it! I have wanted to check out that bean for a long time! We took a little trip to Chi town this weekend. Rode the train down to Union Station, walked the city, went to the Shedd. The kids had a blast and it was a good day. Something we really should do more often...it seems shameful that we live so close to the city but hardly ever get down there.

Now, to catch up with the house, some scrapping, and start getting ready for Thanksgiving. We will be hosting the family this year...that means about 40 people in our little house...and one BIG turkey. Lots to do!

For the Moms

My sister Jenifer sent me this...it has to be pretty impressive for her to send it because she hardly ever sends this kind of thing! :) Enjoy.
