Easter Favorites

Last year on Easter it snowed all day...we never know what it will be like. This Easter was one of those great ones...beautiful sunlight, warm air. Makes taking pictures so much more fun! Here are a few of my favorites.
What do you suppose they snuck off to the tree to talk about? Yep, boys. Already.
A yummy patch of bluebells....perfection.
One of the highlights this year was getting to take pics of this little love bug. She is growing up much too fast.

Mooooooo

Got some Moo cards today. Adorable little cards, like little business cards to hand out. Each with a little snippet of a photo, like a little tease. :) Love these things.

Don't SMILE

Gavin, now whatever you do, DON'T SMILE.
I mean in now, do not smile, ok?

No, no, no smiling Gavin! Don't do it!
Ahhhhh mama gets the natural smile.
Can someone please send us some SUNSHINE? Think we could use a little? Sheeeesh it has been such a long winter. I am so looking forward to watching the freckles grow on this little nose this summer....already they are staring to peek out. One angel kiss....two angel kisses....

How fun is this?

Gabby's school has a little silent auction every year and I helped out with her class project. I got crazy and started playing with some pictures the kids took of each other and after a little research on the web ended up with little Lichtenstein-like portraits of each of the kids. OMG it is so much fun to make these. I found the super awesome instructions at this very generous person's website: Melissa Clifton
An awesome way to get a little better aquainted with Photoshop too!

Thaw....

Ahhhhhh the Spring thaw. Looks like our neighbor has a steamy hot tub on the other side of that fence. But it is only last night's snow, steaming away in the warm morning sunshine. A beautiful sight when most of the winter has been below freezing. The longest, coldest winter of my life! Mother Nature has had kind of a wicked sense of humor this year.

Paint, Light & Ski Bums

The attic is painted, lights are in...next is for the Hubby to get the floors scraped and painted and then we can have the trim done...and then I can finally move in. I am just dying waiting. So painful. I just hope it is done before Spring.

We went skiing last night at our little local hill. The kids are awesome. Gab and her friend were totally off on their own and had a total blast. Gavin was all over the place, we pretty much just took turns trying to keep up with him. Sean let the kids go on the chairlift BY THEMSELVES, I wasn't too keen on that but they did just fine. They all went down every kind of run, hit the jumps and made us so proud. :) Gavin says he loves the mogels and that the black diamond runs are the easiest...because the green circle runs are so slow that he has to push himself to get down them. Colorado here we come! Heehee. Maybe next year.

Drywall!

I've got drywall, and today, primer, and tomorrow, paint in my little attic studio. I am so excited for this to be done that I could scream! But I won't.
There is this cool little alcove in the middle back of the attic space. There will be a little doorway to the very back of the attic where there will be storage space. There will be little built in book cases in those funky little openings too. So excited.
I totally need help figuring out what to do with the floor and the stairs! The floor was painted this lovely barn red. It is now spattered with spray insulation drippings that my computer geek husband did when he put the insulation in.
After he scrapes and sands them I need to pick a paint color. Any ideas?? The walls and ceiling will be a light beige color for now. Would you go dark or light for the floors?? :)

Sickie Bug

I know it looks disturbing...but there is nothing wrong with her face. She came home from a sleepover on Saturday morning looking like this and she was totally wiped out. They had a school spirit day on Friday and she decorated her face with markers. Don'tcha love it? Anyway, it is Tuesday now and she still looks wrecked and also feels wrecked, but that is because she has pneumonia, not because of markers. Ugh! Thank you Mister Fleming for those magic anti-bug drugs...she should be back to school tomorrow! Yay for me, (and her).

OMG! Have you seen this new website, House of 3? Three of my scrapbooky, digi, artsy bloggy IDOLS have started their own little digi shoppe online. I am ecstatic because I love their stuff and now I can use it for making cards for other people. They are offering photographer's & commercial licenses. So dang cool. They also have uber cool blog couture templates...gotta pick one out but it is too hard!

666nine PhotoTag!

Tagged by the HO!

OK I am a little freaked out about how organized my photos are...I mean NOTHING else in my life is this organized. The 6th folder just happened to be my 2006 folder, then I had to go to the next 6th folder...June (6th month) of 2006 and then then the next folder was June 8th. Phew, I would have been really freaked out if it was the 6th of June. Anyway, the sixth, seventh and eighth pictures were of some neighbor kids (didn't want to post without ok from Moms) so I went to the 9th pic that was Gavin with a popsicle face, or maybe that's ketchup?

We were having a little playgroup in our back yard that day with about 5 other 3 and 4 year olds on our street. For about a year some neighbors and I would alternate houses every week so one of us Moms (and sometimes Dads) would take all the kids and feed them lunch and have some fun stuff to do. It was a great way to socialize the kids and get a little Mommy break on the days we didn't have the kids. Of course I would whip out my camera every time I had the kids....such a perfect opportunity to practice learning my camera.
I can't believe it was so long ago and how dang cute they were!

OK soooooo who shall be tagged now????
Gotta spread the love this WAS fun!

SO here's the rules for Photo Tagging.
  1. Go to the section of your computer where you store all of your photos.
  2. Select the 6th folder.
  3. Select the 6th photo from that folder.
  4. Post and explain about that picture.
  5. Tag 6 other people

1. Nicole really needs to update.
2. Maybe this will force Donna to get her photos organized!! ;)
3. Julie, check out her new layouts!
4. I miss Shannon's posts too.
5. Shirley! I am jealous of your weather.
6. Jen M. Can't wait to see you!

Frozen Tundra

That's where I live.
Our driveway is an ice rink which I can't stand, but the kids think is really cool!
They have very strong backs. Not like me.
All you Cali friends & family....please stop snickering & laughing.
